Trollhättan is a flourishing town with water everywhere. It has beautiful parks and recreational areas with Göta canal running right through town. But we have a lot more to offer than nature. There is a lot to experience and many fun and fascinating activities for young and old. Vänersborg was granted its town charter as early as 1644. Skräckleparken, an oasis for the people of Vänersborg, is situated on the southern shore of Lake Vänern. In summer, the park is full of people sunbathing on the rocks or on the beautiful childfriendly sandy beach, or enjoying a swim in the lake.
